The Argentine number 10 rides challenge along his way and send the ball wide to Angle Di Maria who hits low and back across to the far post with his left foot and sends the ball at the far corner of the net. Argentina lead with little time left!

95'      The Swiss deliver a good cross. No red shirt at the far post. Throw-in Argentina and Higuain wins a free kick on the right. The cross comes off a Swiss head but is goalbound. Benaglio gets down to save.

92'      Argentina deploy a dangerous corner! Di Maria knocks it to the near post and Benaglio has to punch it away in a cluster of blue and white shirts. The next corner is dealt with as well.

85'      Di Maria tries a half-volley at the edge of the box and it's blocked out for a corner. Another corner, another Swiss clearance.

80'      A SHOT! Messi weaves on the top-left of the box and drives a hard low shot on goal. Benaglio gets down and makes a good save, but spills the ball and has to dive after it doing his best impression of the worm. The Swiss manages to clear for a corner that Benaglio punches clear. But the whistle is blown for a foul.

76'      PALACIO!!! Off target. Argentina manage a decent set piece. Messi put a good ball in but Rodrigo Palacio header is off target header.

'      Fernandes comes in behind Di Maria and hacks him down, despite having two teammates ahead of him ready to contain Di Maria in a totally harmless area. Yellow card for the replacement of another yellow card player.

71'       Drmic and Rojo race after a ball rolling into the Argentinian penalty area. They both hold onto each other in an improbably balanced manner. The attack is fended off.

66'      Sub: Xhaka off, Fernandes on. The only Swiss player on a yellow card is off.

65'      All Argentina at the moment. The Swiss players in midfield are paying a heavy toll for pressing high up in the first half, allowing their opponents to fizz past to the final third with ease.

63'      BENAGLIO SAVES!!! Higuain gets a header on goal but the Swiss goalie tips it over. The corner is easily defended by the Swiss.

62'      La Albicelestes are pressing on but just can't get through with so many red shirts in the Swiss area.

58'      Another -- but better -- cross from Argentina on the left by Rojo. Benaglio punches it clear, and it lands at Di Maria's feet but he's quickly covered by a red shirt.

'      Massive diagonal ball for Lavezzi and then Rojo loops a cross into the box. Higuain is the only teammate in the box. This is getting hopeful but increasingly less effective from Argentina.

51'       BIG CHANCE!! Josep Drmic lets one fly way high from inside the Argentine box! Shaqiri is sent wide of the farpost with a pass. He sends it back in the area to Drmic who has a great chance to score but somehow manages to miss the target!

'       DI MARIA!! Argentina can't get through. The Real Madrid forward takes the ball in at near post makes a weak attempt on goal sending it straight to Swiss goalie. Too many red shirts inside the Swiss area.

39'      HUGE LET OFF FOR LA ALBICELESTE!! Josip Drmic is one-on-one witk Romero. The Swiss forward gets into the area and simply lobsit the Argentine keeper.

33'      Marcos Rojo tries to send the ball into the Switzerland area but his cross is blocked by a defender.

29'      LAVEZZI! POOR SHOT! Aguero's proxy messes up a great chance. He latches the ball in near the right post and sends a tame shot straight to the Swiss goalie.

Lavezzi starts instead of Sergio Aguero, who is suffering from a thigh strain. He had come on to replace the forward in Argentina's last two Group E games against Nigeria and Iran.

The change is the only one from the side that started Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Africans.

Switzerland coach Ottmar Hitzfeld named an unchanged side from the one that started against Honduras last week. Xherdan Shaqiri starts up front hoping to maintain the fine form that brought him a hat-trick in the 3-0 win.

Switzerland have never beaten Argentina in six previous meetings.
