BFF to honour 10 legendary footballers

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has decided to honour 10 legendary footballers and organisers of the past in recognition to their contributions in country's football.

Dhaka, April 8 (BDNEWS) – Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has decided to honour 10 legendary footballers and organisers of the past in recognition to their contributions in country's football.
They will be awarded during the formal opening of the Football Bhaban by AFC president Mohammad bin Hammam on April 10. Hammam is scheduled to arrive here the same day.
BFF picked the 10 football greats from 23, preliminary selected by a sub-committee.
They are:
From 70s-- Jakaria Pintu, Kazi M Salauddin and Golam Sarwar Tipu (1970s)
From 80s -- Badal Roy, Sheikh Mohammad Aslam, Ashis Vadra and Wasim Iqbal
From 90s -- Late Monem Munna, Kaisar Hamid and Syed Rumman Bin Wali Sabbir
Organisers -- Mainul Islam (Mohammedan SC- posthumously), Abul Hasem (first general secretary of BFF and official of Wari Club-- posthumously), Lt. Col (retd) Kazi Shahed Ahmed (Abahani Limited), Abu Taher Putu (Chittagong- posthumously) and Professor Abdur Rahman (Khulna).
