Raushon Ershad ‘named acting Jatiya Party chairman’
The Jatiya Party announced that Raushon Ershad is the new acting chairman of the party after Chairman HM Ershad made his brother GM Quader co-chairman.

The rift within the main opposition in Parliament came to light once again through the announcement on Monday.
Jatiya Party Secretary General Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu told bdnews24.com that the decision to make Raushon the acting chief was taken in a meeting at her home in Gulshan.
Both Ershad’s wife Raushon, the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, and Quader are presidium members of the party.
On Sunday, Ershad made Quader the co-chairman of the party, and announced that Quader would take the helm in his absence.
