Shamsuzzaman Dudu, Advisor to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, made the announcement on Friday in a press conference.

“18-Party alliance has called for the Shutdown on Sunday to protest against the ban slapped on rallies and to demand reinstatement of a caretaker government, release of detained leaders and resignation of this government,” he said.

BNP still wants dialogues for a non-partisan government, Dudu said. “If the government does not sit for talks, demands will be met though movements.”
