The rally will be held in front of the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on Bangabandhu Avenue in the city at 3pm.

Awami League Presidium Council Member and Deputy Leader of Parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury will preside over the rally.

The ruling alliance will hold the rally as a part of its ongoing programmes to mobilise public support in favour of its campaign for expediting the war crimes trial and execution of the verdict. The rally is also in protest at vandalism, anarchy and anti-state activities of the BNP-Jamaat combine.

Awami League Deputy Office Secretary Mrinal Kanti Das in a statement on Monday said that Sajeda urged people from all walks of life to attend the rally.
