Yasmeen Murshed appointed high commissioner to Pakistan

The government has appointed Yasmeen Murshed as Bangladesh's high commissioner to Pakistan, the foreign ministry said in a statement Sunday.

Dhaka, Nov 18 (bdnews24.com) – The government has appointed Yasmeen Murshed as Bangladesh's high commissioner to Pakistan, the foreign ministry said in a statement Sunday.
Yasmeen had earlier worked for the caretaker government as adviser in charge of women and children affairs, primary and mass education and social welfare ministries from Oct 31, 2006 to Jan 11, 2007.
Yasmeen is the chief executive officer and founder of Scholastica, a private English medium school.
She is also the chairperson of Etcetera Bangladesh, a "lifestyle superstore".
Yasmeen did her Master's in economics from the University of the Punjab in 1969.
