In the four-part show, archival footage and personal videos and photos are intertwined with present-day interviews and scenes of the group embarking on their 2022 tour
Led by folk and baul singer MH Nayan, artists of the Pally Baul Samaj Unnayan Sangstha (PBSUS) will perform the show at the Centre’s Gulshan premises.
Established in 1998, the PBSUS works to create awareness about folk music, composer and poets, which are on the verge of extinction, and to train the folk singers and musicians.
Nayan is the general secretary of the organisation.
He is listed as an ‘A-grade’ singer in state-run television, BTV, and so far released five audio CDs. He also represented Bangladesh in China, Japan, and South Korea for singing folk and Baul music.
The Friday show will begin at 6.30pm. Entry is free for all, the Centre said in a media release.
