Asked to bat first, Liton Kumar Das (139) and Dinesh Karthik (109) smashed scintillating tons to put Abahani in command at the BKSP-3 on Wednesday.

Shakib Al Hasan (57 off 24 balls) then launched a late assault as Abahani piled up a colossal 371 for 5 – the highest List A total on Bangladesh soil.

It is also the highest ever List A total scored by any Bangladeshi team.

Shakib then returned with the ball and claimed his best List A figures (5-18 in 6.3 overs) to help Abahani skittle their opponents out for a paltry 111 to earn their Super League win in style.

Legends of Rupganj had previously held the records. They had beaten Old DOHS Club by 247 runs in the last edition after posting 357 runs.

In Fatullah, a blazing unbeaten century from Pawan Negi (124 off 89 balls) steered Legends of Rupganj to a 2-wicket win over Victoria Sporting Club.

The win helped Rupganj pip Victoria to the top of the points table.

In the other match of the day, Prime Bank beat Prime Doleshwar by six wickets in a rain-reduced 33-over match to keep alive their hopes to retain the title, at least on papers.

Rupganj are now on top of the pile with 18 points from 13 matches while Victoria are second with 17. Having played a match fewer, Abahani are third with 16 points.
