The match is scheduled for 7:30pm at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

The Asia Cup set a stage for the 32-year-old fast bowler's return to action after a long spell of absence due to injury.

Malinga inspired his team to victory with a devastating bowling display in his comeback match against the United Arab Emirates on Thursday.

He grabbed four wickets – two of them in the first over.

After the match, Malinga said he had been able to deliver just 60 to 70 percent of his ability.

Sabbir, however, insisted Bangladesh will be looking at balls while playing, not the bowlers.

"We are not too worried about him (Malinga). It is important for us to play a ball at a time, not checking who the bowler is," Sabbir said on Saturday.

Bangladesh started their campaign with a crushing 45-run defeat against India on Wednesday. Sabbir was Bangladesh's top scorer in that match with 44.

The hosts won their next match against UAE convincingly by 51 runs on Friday.

The 24-year old said the win has restored Bangladesh's confidence.

"Our confidence took a hit after the defeat in the first match. But the win against UAE worked.  We won by a good margin which boosted our confidence.

"Hopefully, the boost will be useful in the next match."
