Tamim has been in ominous form in the series hitting back-to-back centuries and a fifty in the ODIs to score 312 runs in the three-match series.

He followed up with an epic double century in the second innings of the first Test in Khulna to lead Bangladesh to their first draw against the tourists.

The second Test is scheduled for a 10am start at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday.

Misbah reckons his side will have to overcome the threat posed by the 26-year-old opener to take their first win of the series.

“Tamim is in good form. We have to stop him, get him early and obviously we have to improve our bowling,” said the captain in the pre-match press conference.

Pakistan’s plans to deal with Tamim have not been very effective so far. Misbah still has his doubts.

“We had plans but at the moment he is dealing with that plans very well. Let’s see how we implement them.”

Tamim has played six innings in the Pakistan series so far, failing to cross fifty only twice in them.

He notched Bangladesh’s highest individual score in his maiden double century, the second for the Tigers, hammering 206 off 278 in the first Test.

But that came after 132, 116 not out and 64 in the ODIs.

The aggressive opener scored 14 in the one-off T20 and 25 in the first innings of the Khulna Test.
