Despite the absence of Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny, Mushfiq is positive about Bangladesh’s prospects in the Tests.

The first Test will kick-off in Khulna on Tuesday.

“We are confident that we have the bowlers who can take 20 wickets. Our batsmen also have the ability to make a big score of 600,” said Mushfiq at the pre-match press conference on Monday.

“If we fielders can use our chances, the result will come our way.”

Bangladesh’s pace battery in the Test consists of Rubel Hossain, Shahadat Hossain and Mohammad Shahid.
“Rubel is bowling very well. Rajib (Shahadat) played the last series. Maybe, he didn’t play well in all of them but he did what we expected of him.”
Uncapped Shahid earned his first call-up to the national squad after bowling well in domestic cricket for a couple of years.
Spinners Taijul Islam and Jubair Hossain bowled well in the Tests against Zimbabwe last year.
They are capable giving ample support to top Test all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.
