BCB Women’s Wing Chairman MA Awal Chowdhury said on Friday that the women’s cricket team might make the tour next month.

At the inauguration of Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket League at Dhanmondi stadium, he told reporters: “BCB is not worried over the security situation in Pakistan.”

Pakistan Cricket Board had set two conditions for the men’s team’s visit to Bangladesh – paying them 50 percent of the earnings from matches during the trip and sending Bangladesh Under-19s to Pakistan.

BCB President Nazmul Hasan, however, told Pakistan that the board would not accept the conditions.

Bangladesh had paid Pakistan $325,000 in compensation for skipping two visits there in 2012.

Test-playing countries are not touring Pakistan since the terrorist attacks on visiting Sri Lankan team in 2009.
