Allrounder Nasir Hossain has been left out of the one-day squad too after being dropped from Tests.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 13-man squad for the first two ODIs against Zimbabwe on Saturday.

The series is the Tigers’ first after the BCB decided on separate captains for Tests and one-dayers. Mashrafe will lead the hosts in the shorter format.

Allrounder Shakib Al Hasan returned to the one-day side after making his return in the Test. He’s been appointed as Mashrafe’s deputy in ODIs.

Left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny and batsman Sabbir Rahman have also been called into the side. Al-Amin Hossain who signed out in the last two Tests has been included in the one-dayers.

Six cricketers, including Nasir, who played in the last ODI series against the West Indies in the Caribbean are absent from the team.
