Chairman of Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB’s) cricket operations committee Akram Khan spoke to journalists at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur on Tuesday.

"Camp may be set up at Brisbane. But it is not certain yet. Bangladesh will face completely different conditions, so we are trying to set up a camp there. A 15-day camp and some matches will benefit the players," he said.

Bangladesh visited Australia to play a Test series for the first and last time in 2003. Five years later the Tigers went there to a play a three-match one-day series.

Bangladesh last went to New Zealand, the joint organisers of the 2015 World Cup, in 2010.

The 11th edition of the one-day World Cup will be held between February 14 and March 29 next year.

Bangladesh are slotted in Group A in the competition along with England, Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Afghanistan.
