Rajshahi tops success rate, Dhaka has most with GPA-5

Rajshahi students have the best rate of success, while those from Dhaka have secured highest number of GPA-5 grade in SSC examinations this year.

According to the results published on Saturday, the overall rate of success in the general education boards, the madrasah board and the vocational board is 87.04 percent.

The rate is 4.3 percentage points less than last year.

The number of those who secure GPA-5 grade is also less than the last year.

A total of 111,901 students secured GPA-5 grade this year against 142,276 last year.

In Rajshahi board, 94.97 percent of the examinees cleared the SSC against 88.65 percent in Dhaka.

But while 36,801 students in Dhaka secured GPA-5, Rajshahi follows behind with 15,873 students getting GPA-5.

Sylhet education board is behind all in both rate of passing and number of students with GPA-5.

The rate of passing in this board is 81.82 percent while the number of students with GPA-5 is 2,452.

The passing rate is 82.77 percent in Chittagong. The number of GPA-5 students is 7,116 in this board.

The rate of passing in Comilla, Barisal, Jessore and Dinajpur are 84.22 percent, 84.37 percent, 84.02 percent and 85.5 percent, respectively.

The number of students with GPA-5 in Comilla is 10,195, Barisal 3,171, Jessore 7,181, and 10,842 in Dinajpur.

The rate of passing in madrasah and vocational boards increased this year.

The rate is 90.2 percent in madrasah board. It was 89.25 percent last year.

In vocational board, 83.01 percent students have passed. The rate was 81.97 percent last year.
