AKM Shirin appointed managing director of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited

Abul Kashem Md Shirin has been appointed the managing director of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited.

Before taking charge as its top official, Shirin has been deputy managing director in the same bank for around eight years, a DBBL media statement said.

Previously, he had worked as EVP/SEVP and head of the bank's IT division for another six years.

He had been a deputy general manager and head of IT in the BASIC Bank before joining DBBL, according to the statement.

Abul Kashem studied in Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, the statement said.
