Barrister Ashraful Hadi has been made an independent director of Marico Bangladesh Ltd.

He has been appointed to the post for three years, said the company in a statement on Wednesday.
The seven-strong board of directors at the multinational consumer goods company now boasts three independent directors.
The Supreme Court lawyer, who is a partner at Dr Kamal Hossain and Associates, a prestigious law firm in Bangladesh, has been practising law for more than 15 years.
He has advised companies in the past in such areas as telecommunications, admiralty, infrastructure, IT, commercial disputes, and banking.
