As many as 48 MPs elected uncontested from seats reserved for women in the 10th Parliament have taken oath.

Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the oath at the Parliament building on Sunday.
The new MPs signed the signature book at the office of the Parliament Secretariat and joined a photo session following the oath-taking ceremony as per tradition.
The Election Commission had declared the women winners on Wednesday and a gazette notification was published the following day.
In the first phase, 38 MPs from the Awami League, one each from the Workers Party and JaSaD took oath. They were followed by five Jatiya Party MPs and three from independent lawmakers’ alliance.
