This is her first reaction after a Canadian court acquitted three of graft charges involving the project.
Speaking at the 37th National Council of Ansar and Village Defence Party in Gazipur on Sunday, the prime minister noted that the Canadian court found the evidence as speculation and rumour.
Bangladesh withdrew the funding request when the World Bank cancelled the Padma Bridge contract following the allegation.
Hasina then announced to build the bridge with Bangladesh's own money and now the construction is under way.
She said Bangladesh's dignity and honour have increased following the Canada court verdict.
Hasina, daughter of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, also said Sheikh Mujib's family will never do anything that may undermine Bangladesh's image.
"Because we love the country and we do politics for the people," she said.
Hasina called for everyone's support to continue.
"I always believe in one thing - I could take the challenge because I have the power of honesty," she added.
