Badruddoza resigns Bikalpadhara presidency

Bikalpadhara Bangladesh president Badruddoza Chowdhury and secretary general Abdul Mannan have resigned over the party's failure in Monday's national election. They tendered their resignation at an emergency meeting of the party's presidium members on Wednesday, a party insider said.

Dhaka, Dec 31 (bdnews24.com) – Bikalpadhara Bangladesh president Badruddoza Chowdhury and secretary general Abdul Mannan have resigned over the party's failure in Monday's national election.
They tendered their resignation at an emergency meeting of the party's presidium members on Wednesday, a party insider said.
The party failed to win a single seat in the national ballot.
It has appointed Chowdhury, the former President and BNP veteran, chief adviser and Mannan adviser.
The meeting appointed Dhaka University's political science professor Nurul Amin Bepari and Mahi B Chowdhury acting president and acting secretary general, respectively.
The party in the meeting expelled 'Principal' Abdur Rashid.
Bakalpadhara congratulated Awami League and its allies on their extraordinary victory in the election.
