The attacks took place on Friday evening amid the countrywide non-stop blockade enforced by the BNP-led coalition since Jan 5.
bdnews24.com Rajshahi Correspondent said nine people were burned and at least six more injured in arson attacks on two buses at Poba and Tanor Upazilas in Rajshahi.
Police said the attacks on Friday evening were carried out by activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Of the nine injured in one of the attacks, two, including a child, were admitted to the Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH).
Several others were injured while trying to get off the buses in a hurry.

They handed over the duo to police after assaulting them.
OC Rahman identified the two as Poba Shibir unit President Moshiur Rahman, 23, and activist Abdul Awal, 20.
"The locals gave them a good thrashing and broke their hands and legs."
Later, they were rescued from the mob and sent to RMCH, he added.
Tanor Police Station OC Anwar Hossain said Shibir activists hurled Molotov cocktails at a bus in front of the local BRAC office on Tanor-Rajshahi road, roughly a kilometre away from the Upazila headquarters.
Nine people suffered burns when the bus caught fire, he said, adding that at least six others were injured while trying to get off.
