A worker of Tazreen Fashions who was injured during the fire at the readymade garment factory in 2012 lost her close to two-year battle for life.

Amena Begum died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in capital Dhaka on Wednesday morning.
Ashulia Industrial Police’s Director Mostafizur Rahman told bdnews24.com Amena was critically injured when she jumped from the rooftop of the five-storied factory on the tin shed of a nearby building during the fire that broke out in Nov 2012.
She was undergoing medical treatment since then.
Rahman said a large number of people, particularly readymade garment factory workers, rushed to see Amena for the last time when her body was taken to the Nishchintapur primary school ground, near Tazreen Fashions, on Wednesday morning.
Amena, hailing from Ghordah area in Lalmonirhat district, left her husband and two sons and two daughters.
Her body was taken to her country home later.
