Abdur Rahman, who has served RAJUK as a member so far, has been promoted to the post of chairman, the Ministry of Public Administration said in a notice on Thursday.
Outgoing chairman M Bazlul Karim Chaudhury had been transferred to the cabinet division, Rahman told bdnews24.com.
Both Rahman and Chaudhury are additional secretaries.
Rahman joined the public administration ministry as a deputy secretary in 2006.
He later went on to serve the National Sports Council, Ministry of Youth and Sports and Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority or BEPZA later through his career.
In 2015, he joined RAJUK as a member.
