Nazmul Islam new ambassador in Sweden as Golam Sarwar posted to Oman
The government has appointed Md Nazmul Islam, a director general at the foreign ministry, ambassador to Sweden, transferring Md Golam Sarwar to Oman.

Nazmul Islam, a 15th BCS Foreign Affairs cadre, is director general for the administration wing. He earlier served as the consul general in Jeddah and counsellor in Beijing, apart from Jakarta and London in different capacities.
Before Sweden, Golam Sarwar, a 10th BCS Foreign Affairs cadre, served as the Consul General in Jeddah and Minister in Washington DC. He also served in Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, and Yangon in different capacities.
Nazmul studied civil engineering at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Sarwar did his Masters of Commerce in Accounting from Dhaka University.
