They were handed to their families on Sunday, RAB-11 Senior ASP Alep Uddin said.

RAB took their relatives inside the besieged house in Gabtoli to discuss the surrender on Sunday morning after cordoning Saturday evening.

Later the five were escorted out of the house one by one within half an hour after 10pm, and taken to the RAB's local office.

They have been identified as Abu Zafar of Narayanganj’s Araihazar, Salahuddin and Basikul Islam of Narsingdi Sadar, Masudur Rahman of Gazipur Boardbazar and Mashiur of Kishoreganj’s Bhairab.

RAB's Alep Uddin said Basikul, Masudur and Mashiur were handed to their families because they were found to be innocent.

He said the RAB was preparing a case under the Anti-Terrorism Case against Zafar and Salahuddin.
