Airport Police Station OC Noor-e-Azam Mia told bdnews24.com that some unidentified people were accused of conducting terror activities in the case filed on Saturday.

One person was killed in the blast Friday evening, a week after a suicide attacker was killed in an explosion at a RAB camp in the same vicinity.

Middle East-based radical group Islamic State claimed credit for the 'attack targeting police'.

Police, however, said it was not a 'suicide attack' and stated that a man carrying bombs in a bag died in the explosion.

But, the forensic doctors said after the post-mortem examination that the man died when explosives tied to his waist went off.

Police Inspector Ezaz Shafi, who is investigating the case, said no particular militant group was named in the case. The deceased was not identified in the case yet.

Dhaka Medical College Forensic Department head Sohel Mahmud told bdnews24.com that samples from the body were collected as part of the process to identify him.
