Shamim Ahmad gets two-year extension as press minister in Washington
Journalist Shamim Ahmad’s tenure of contractual appointment as minister (press) of the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC has been extended by two years.

The public administration ministry on Sunday issued a gazette notification on the extension of his job tenure in continuation of the previous contract with effect from March 8, 2017, or the date of joining.
On Oct 16, 2014, the government appointed Shamim as the minister (press) on a two-year contract. He joined the embassy on Mar 9, 2015.
