Quoting witnesses, bdnews24.com's Savar Correspondent Selim Ahmed said a person jumped off the fourth floor of the five-storied building by cutting the grills of a window during the raid. The RAB personnel took him away.

Earlier in the day, RAB and police killed 11 suspects in raids on two 'militant hideouts' in Gazipur and another in Tangail.

Law-enforcing agencies in Bangladesh have strengthened anti-militant drives across the country since the deaths of 20 hostages, including 17 foreigners, and two police officers in the
on a cafe in Dhaka's diplomatic district Gulshan on July 1.

Police said Neo-JMB led by Tamim Ahmed Chowdhury carried out the attack. Six attackers were killed in the raid to free the hostages.

In a raid on a house in Dhaka's Kalyanpur early on July 26, nine suspected members of the group were killed and another caught alive.

Tamim was shot dead during a similar drive in Narayanganj later in August.

Police said Tamim's deputy ex-army major Mohammad Jahidul Islam was killed in a raid in Mirpur and Tanvir Qaderi Shipar, another top leader of the group, in Azimpur in September.

The investigators of the Gulshan attack said they were also searching for the financiers of the group.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said 'Akash', the 'current leader of Neo-JMB', was among the seven killed in Gazipur raid earlier in the day.

Several hours after the killing of Akash, RAB detained the 'key financier' of the group Ainal, who later succumbed to the injuries he sustained after jumping from the fourth floor of a building in an attempt to escape.
