Ex-army man found dead in a Motijheel hotel
A former member of the Bangladesh Army has been found dead in a city hotel where he checked in with a female employee of travel agency.

"Hamidur and a female employee of the travel agency checked in the Hotel Arina as husband and wife on Sep 22," Motijheel Police Officer-in-Charge Omar Faruq said. His body was recovered on Saturday morning.
Deceased Hamidur Rahman Mujibor, 40, left the Army eight to nine years ago due to heart disease and joined the travel agency at Paltan, the officer said.
Motijheel OC Faruq said Hamidur used to live with his wife and a daughter in Shahjahanpur.
Quoting members of Hamidur's family, the officer said the ex-army man had left home saying he was going to Motijheel for work related to his office.
The female employee of the travel agency and the manager of the hotel were taken to the police station for questioning, he added.
