Police kill ‘robber in gunfight’ in Jamalpur
Police say they have shot dead a man accused in 14 cases including robbery in a gunfight in Jamalpur’s Madarganj.

They have identified the man as Shamim Fakir, 27.
Madarganj Police Station OC Ramapada Mandal said they raided Koalikandi to arrest Shamim on Monday night.
“Police shot back when Shamim opened fire. His bullet-hit body was found in the area later,” he said.
He said four police personnel were injured in the exchange of gunfire.
