State Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed moved to social welfare
The government has moved State Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed from food to social welfare.

“The state minister for food has been given full charge of state minister for social welfare,” Cabinet Secretary Md Shafiul Alam told bdnews24.com on Sunday.
“He will now just serve as state minister for social welfare.”
Syed Mohsin Ali was made minister for social welfare with Promod Mankin as his junior minister after the Awami League returned for a second consecutive term in 2014.
Ali passed away while undergoing treatment in Singapore last year. Mankin died in a hospital in India on May 11.
The prime minister then took charge of the ministry as per the Rules of Business. She hands the portfolio to Nuruzzaman Ahmed after more than a month.
This is Ahmed's first term in Parliament after being elected from Lalmonirhat-2. He was handed the portfolio as state minister for food on Jul 14, 2015.
