Parents claim 2 Army men were involved in Tonu murder
Parents of Comilla college student Sohagi Jahan Tonu have claimed that two Army personnel were involved in her murder.

Md Yaar Hossain and Anwara Begum made the claim while talking to reporters before entering Comilla Criminal Investigation (CID) office for the seventh round of questioning.
They said the murder mystery would be solved if Army sergeant ‘Zahid’ and member ‘Zahid’ at the Comilla cantonment, where Tonu’s body was found, were grilled.
“We’re tired of and angry at the repeated questioning. The persons to whose house Tonu went for tuition and was murdered are not being interrogated that way,” Anwara said.
The parents said the interrogation of their children could also lead to revelation of important information.
“Tonu was requested to perform at an event of the Army study unit. She did not do so and went to Sylhet with friends. Those angered by the refusal killed Tonu,” the mother said.
She claimed that sergeant Zahid’s wife was also involved in the murder.
A CID team headed by Special SP Abdul Kahhar Akhand quizzed four of Tonu’s family including the parents, and five others on Tuesday.
