French naval ship arrives in Bangladesh on a ‘goodwill visit’
The French Naval Ship ‘Aconit’ has arrived at the Chittagong port on a six-day ‘goodwill’ visit.

Bangladesh navy said the ship was received with traditional naval ceremonies on its arrival on Tuesday.
Chittagong Navy Commander Admiral Akhter Habib welcomed the crew members, who will engage in different programmes with their Bangladesh counterparts. French Ambassador Sophie Aubert was also present.
Earlier, Bangladesh naval ship ‘Swadhinata’ welcomed the ship when it entered Bangladesh territory.
Captain Laurent Machard de Gramont is leading the 140-head crew.
They will also engage in a joint exercise with a Bangladesh naval ship before leaving Bangladesh on May 15.
