Three brothers get life imprisonment for murder
A Jhalokati court has sentenced three brothers to life imprisonment in a murder case filed seven years ago.

District and Sessions Judge Shafiqul Karim pronounced the verdict on Tuesday in the presence of the accused.
The court also fined each of them Tk 50,000. They will have to spend another year in jail if they fail to pay up.
The convicts are Alamgir Hossain Howladar, Kamal Hossain Howladar, Miron alias Bhulu Howladar, residents of Mokorompur village under the Sadar Upazila.
On Jun 16, 2009, the three brothers killed their neighbour named Abdus Salam over an old feud, said Public Prosecutor (PP) Abdul Mannan.
“On the same day, the victim’s brother had filed a murder case at the Jhalokati Police Station.”
He said the court had recorded the statements of 12 people.
