Body of woman found in Kafrul’s NAM garden

Police have recovered the dead body of a woman who had gone to work in the house of an additional secretary at NAM garden officers’ quarters at Kafrul in Dhaka.

The young woman was substituting for her mother on the day.
 
Kafrul police OC Shikder Md Shamim Hossain said the dead body of Zaria Begum, 22, was found before the gate of an NAM garden building at 11am.
 
Joint Secretary Ahsan Habib resides on the fifth floor of the building.
 
According to the OC, the woman lived with her mother Ful Banu in North Ibrahimpur.
 
In the morning she went to work at Habib’s quarters in place of her mother and after work she left with a woman, according to the family members of the official.
 
When local residents saw Zaria Begum lying face down on the ground in front of the gate, they informed the police, who came and recovered the body.
 
Shamim Hossain said police were looking for the woman with whom she had reportedly left the house.
 
He told bdnews24.com, “No marks have been found on the dead girl’s body and so how she died could not be ascertained as yet.”
 
The dead body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.
 
Meanwhile, a housewife, Tondra Saha, 36, has allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself owing to a family feud.
 
DMCH police outpost Inspector Mozammel Haque said the woman’s husband Sujon Saha and their daughter had brought the woman to the hospital early on Sunday at around 1:15am, where doctors pronounced her dead.
 
“Tondra hanged herself because of family trouble, according to her husband and daughter.”
