20 passengers injured as bus catches fire after gas cylinder explodes in Manikganj
At least 20 passengers have sustained burn injuries when a bus caught fire after its gas cylinder exploded in Manikganj’s Ghior Upazila.

Ghior OC Mizanur Rahman said the incident took place at the upazila’s Tora Cross Bridge area on Dhaka-Aricha Highway at 11:30am on Monday.
He told reporters that the Paturia-bound bus of ‘NNB Transports’ from Dhaka caught fire instantly after the explosion.
“After being informed, Manikganj fire-service units rushed to the spot and put out the fire after an hour,” OC Rahman added.
Sixteen of the injured passengers were admitted to Manikganj Sadar Hospital and Moon Medical Hospital. Others were released after being administered first aid.
The accident halted the traffic on the highway for around half an hour, the OC said.
