Road crash in Tangail leaves mother, son dead
A bus hit a rickshaw van in Tangail leaving a mother and her son dead and another person injured.

Authorities said the accident on the Tangail-Myemnsingh Highway at Madhupur Upazila occurred around 8:30am on Tuesday.
Locals blocked the highway after the accident causing traffic disruption.
The dead has been identified as Bedana Begum, 62, and her son Farhad Hossain, 35, who was driving the rickshaw van.
The van was hit by a Mymensingh-bound bus killing the two on the spot, said Madhupur Fire Service’s Inspector SK Tuhin.
The other injured was also in the van, he added.
Police said that agitated locals blocked the highway causing traffic disruptions for an hour.
They left the highway after police intervened, said local police OC Shafiqul Islam.
The bus has been seized, he said.
