He said it was all his 'mistake' at a media conference at Latif's office in the port city on Sunday.
"I couldn't open the photo in Dropbox emailed on behalf of Mr Latif," said Kabir Hossain, Chief Designer of Haider Printers.
He apologised and said, "It did not occur to me that this could lead to so much reaction."
The critics said the posture, attire, and shoes did not match those which marked the father of the nation out in his lifetime.
Pro-government youths and students filed two cases against Latif demanding Tk 10 billion compensation for 'defaming' the Bangabandhu.
On Saturday, the MP denied the allegation and blamed his rival group for the fiasco.
He withdrew the allegation he had brought against his rivals on Sunday.
"It's now been proved who has done it," he said.
