British High Commissioner Robert Gibson has handed over his responsibilities as Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Dhaka to Egyptian Ambassador Mahmoud Ezzat.

Gibson is leaving Bangladesh this month.
The High Commission made the announcement through a statement on Tuesday.
Earlier, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office had announced that Alison Blake, formerly deputy high commissioner in Islamabad, would replace Gibson.
She will take charge in January.
