Masud Bin Momen to be Bangladesh’s new Permanent Representative to UN

Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Japan Masud Bin Momen is replacing AK Abdul Momen at the permanent mission to the UN in New York.

The foreign ministry on Tuesday said the government has picked him as the next ambassador and permanent representative of Bangladesh to the UN.
 
Masud Bin Momen, a career diplomat, joined BCS Foreign Affairs cadre in 1985.
 
He studied economics at the Dhaka University, and international relations at the Tufts University, US.
 
He earlier served as the ambassador in Italy.
 
He had worked in Bangladesh’s permanent mission in New York and Bangladesh high commissions in New Delhi and Islamabad.
 
He had also worked in the SAARC Secretariat as a director.
