Bus drives into footpath, kills three, injures five at Savar
A bus has veered onto the footpath while attempting an overtake, killing three pedestrians on the spot at Ulail in Savar.

At least five other passers-by were injured when the Shyamali Paribahan bus drove onto the footpath on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway around 6pm on Saturday.
Dhaka police Assistant Superintendent Russel Sheikh said the bus was trying to overtake another bus leading to the accident.
The deceased included two male and a female, he said.
The injured were taken to local hospitals, he added.
