Rakib Hawladar on Monday succumbed to the injuries he suffered after his ex-employer pumped air into his body.

The three-member team led by metropolitan police’s Additional Commissioner Md Mahbub Hakim went to the Khulna Medical College and Hospital on Wednesday and spoke to the doctors.

Police’s Additional Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Muniruzzaman Mithu, also a member of the team, said that they would speak with Khulna Sadar police OC Sukumar Biswas and the investigation officer Assistant Sub Inspector Kazi Moshtak Ahmed.

He added that they would also go to the motorcycle repair shop, where Rakib was tortured and speak to the child's family.

“Metropolitan Police Commissioner Nibash Chandra Majhi formed the committee to expedite the investigations,” Mithu told bdnews24.com.

Rakib’s tormentors inserted a high-pressure air pump nozzle into his rectum and filled it with air.

The pressure tore apart his intestines and lungs, causing his death.

Locals caught the repair shop owner ‘Sharif’, 35, his uncle Mintu Mia, 40 and Sharif's mother Beauty Begum, 55 right after Rakib’s death on Monday and handed them over to the police.

The child victim's father accused the three in the case he filed the police the next day .
