Iran and five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany (the P5+1) reached an agreement on July 14 at Vienna, aiming at reining in Iran’s nuclear programme for which Tehran was facing international sanctions.
The foreign ministry, in a statement on Thursday, said Bangladesh had always maintained that the issue be “resolved peacefully through dialogue and congratulates all parties for the successful completion of negotiations”.
“Bangladesh firmly believes in nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation and peaceful uses of nuclear energy,” read the statement.
