About 1.5 million students took the exams this year that started on Feb 6, after being pushed back several times amid a violent BNP-sponsored blockade.
The tests ended on Apr 3.
Over the last six years, results of SSC and HSC had been published within 60 days of the examinations.
“We’ll publish this year’s SSC results within June 3,” Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said at a programme in Dhaka on Saturday.
“It will possibly be published on May 30 or 31. We’ll announce the date after getting the consent of the prime minister.”
Last year, several JSC, JDC and primary terminal tests were deferred due to the BNP-led alliance's agitations.
