Missing schoolboy’s body found in sewer in Sylhet

Police have found the body of a missing schoolboy in a sewer in Sylhet city.

Babul Miah, 10, was a fourth grader at Darshan Deuri Government Primary School.

Airport Police Station ASI Lokman Ahmed said the body was recovered from a sewer beside the toilet of the school around 11am Monday.

Babul’s father, ‘Shamsul’ filed a GD with the Airport police station stating that his son went missing on Sunday night, said ASI Lokman.

Meanwhile, body of a man believed to be in his sixties was recovered from the Kazirbazar Ghat near Surma river.

The body is yet to be identified.

Sylhet Kotwali Station’s OC Sohel Ahmed said locals informed the police seeing the body floating on the river.

Later, police sent the body to the Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital morgue.
