PM wants monitoring cell to tackle natural disasters
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief to form a monitoring cell to combat seasonal natural disasters.

"She also asked the local administration to stand by disaster-hit people round-the-clock," her Media Advisor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury said Monday.
Chowdhury said Hasina had expressed shock at the loss of life and property in seasonal Nor'wester that swept through Bangladesh in the last two days.
The prime minister offered her sympathies to the bereaved families and wished swift recovery of the injured.
