The vehicle came under the attack in Rampur on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway on Friday morning, police said.

The injured, Bachchu Hawalader, 28, was sent to Feni Sadar Hospital and then transferred to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, doctors said.

Bachchu said miscreants hurled a Molotov cocktail targeting his Chittagong-bound covered-van, which was carrying goods for shipment.

Feni Sadar Hospital Resident Medical Officer Asim Kumar Saha said Bachchu's face and hands were burnt.

Feni Model Police Station Inspector Mohammad Shahin Uz Zaman said they could not arrest anyone immediately.

The process was on to file a case over the incident, he added.

On Thursday, two transport workers were burnt to death in separate attacks.

Vehicles have become the main target of arson attacks since the BNP called a transport blockade on Jan 5.

In violence during the blockade, over 50 people have been killed, most of them burnt in arsons targeting vehicles.
