Police said both arrested were called 'Imran' and around 25 years of age.

Shahbagh Police Station Sub-Inspector Shah Alam told bdnews24.com the duo were handed over to them around Sunday midnight.

He said labourer 'Shahabul' sustained serious injuries when he fell off a 30-foot-long pipe while working on Sunday evening at a factory in Munshiganj.

He was taken to Sonargaon’s Umidganj hospital in Narayanganj first.

Four of Shahabul’s fellow workers in a pick-up van started for DMCH after doctors recommended taking him there as his condition deteriorated.

But as they reached the hospital, they found him dead.

Locals held the two Imrans when they tried to dump Shahabu's body in the garden.

SI Alam said two other labourers and the pick-up driver had fled when police reached the site.

He added that Shahbul's body was kept at DMCH morgue for autopsy. His family was also notified.
