Hizb-ut Tahrir, police clash at Mohammadpur

Banned Islamist outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir activists have clashed with police at Dhaka's Mohammadpur.

The skirmish on Iqbal Road on Friday afternoon left one injured, said Moahmmadpur police Sub-Inspector Rajib Bhuiyan.
He said an improvised bomb was hurled at police from a Hizb-ut Tahrir procession.
Police dispersed the procession by firing rubber bullets and buckshots injuring Md Nafiz, 38, a resident of Mohammadpur.
Nafiz has been admitted to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, SI Bhuiyan said.
