Abdur Rahman new BIISS DG
Major General AKM Abdur Rahman has been appointed the director general of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS).

A public administration ministry order issued on Tuesday said the service of Rahman had been placed under foreign ministry to appoint him as the BIISS chief executive on deputation.
He has replaced Major General SM Shafiuddin, who has been sent back to Bangladesh Army.
BIISS is a statutory and autonomous institution established in 1978 by the government to undertake and promote research and deliberation on international affairs, security and development issues.
